This means incoming UART data will reach\nthe protocol-specific recv handler in hci_uart_tty_receive() after\nresources are freed.\n\nClear HCI_UART_PROTO_INIT with a write lock before calling\nhu->proto->close() and setting hu->hdev to NULL. The write lock ensures\nall active readers have completed and no new reader can enter the\nprotocol recv path before resources are freed.\n\nThis allows the protocol-specific recv functions to remove the\n\"HCI_UART_REGISTERED\" guard without risking a null pointer dereference\nif hci_register_dev() fails.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":5.5},"cwes":["CWE-476"],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/194f029a4d7f739e44ebc1f473120187b4de5104","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/356dee1bcac4d0d9152390561fa63331ebff211b","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/3daa5818e473ed60eb69d8b5c71b651909d28c5a","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/68d39ea5e0adc9ecaea1ce8abd842ec972eb8718","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/a673cf6c4ac702cb79ac1f4d7fc4de763a6a3e40"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:41:17.107060303+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-53073","score":0.00114,"percentile":0.0147,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
