The components can be reset\nonly together. That means that hid_pre_reset() and hid_post_reset()\nare in the block IO error handling. Hence no memory allocation\nused in them may do block IO because the IO can deadlock\non the mutex held while resetting a device and calling the\ninterface drivers.\nUse GFP_NOIO for all allocations in them.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":5.5},"cwes":["CWE-667"],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/4e900465296ce9fb12ed47dc77389b8dde95bfe0","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/56d318ef8766f0deb08517fd8f3007256ea7997d","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/8df2c1b47ee3cd50fd454f75c7a7e2ae8a6adf72","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/90550af0aad5e75110073c501e4fb42fca20ff80","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/ad4505d2ab3aaac6498f17649608e70e80034bf2"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:41:17.107060303+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-53037","score":0.00095,"percentile":0.00593,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
