The extra fi_access\ncount in nfs4_file can prevent the corresponding nfsd_file from being\nfreed.\n\nWhen stopping nfs-server service, these extra access counts trigger a\nBUG in kmem_cache_destroy() that shows nfsd_file object remaining on\n__kmem_cache_shutdown.\n\nThis problem can be reproduced by running the Git project's test\nsuite over NFS.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":7.5},"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/4584229395d0d65bd517780afe97ffea07cb2c3d","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/b48f44f36e6607b2f818560f19deb86b4a9c717b","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/b81572b073441dfd32213e41857676d0dbff4665"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:41:17.107060303+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-53026","score":0.00426,"percentile":0.36908,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
