When gb_operation_sync is called in the write file\noperations, its gets a freed connection as parameter and the kernel\npanics.\n\nThe gb_connection_destroy cannot be moved out of the disconnect\nfunction, as the Greybus subsystem expect all connections belonging to a\nbundle to be destroyed when disconnect returns.\n\nTo prevent this bug, use a rw lock to synchronize access between write\nand disconnect. This guarantees that the write function doesn't try\nto use a disconnected connection.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":7.8},"cwes":["CWE-416"],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/2b46f07913a80521ecfe60b229c84bdd7dfb15ab","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/48d6c32bc049abd114e8f0836c0e7d7cbfba7827","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/84265cbd96b97058ef67e3f8be3933667a000835","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/966b941ca469fb794637a0803670454f68515e40"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-22T16:41:11.231219466+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-53024","score":0.0017,"percentile":0.06358,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
