When IO_POLL_CANCEL_FLAG\n(BIT(31)) is set in poll_refs, the value becomes negative in\nsigned arithmetic, so the >= 128 comparison always evaluates to\nfalse and the slowpath is never taken.\n\nFix this by casting the atomic_read() result to unsigned int\nbefore the comparison, so that the cancel flag is treated as a\nlarge positive value and correctly triggers the slowpath.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":7.8},"cwes":["CWE-835","CWE-190"],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/326941b22806cbf2df1fbfe902b7908b368cce42","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/81bf96b0abbfa4cd47ea32e12596aed3855fb2f3","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/c6d191164dc81838d8dbf452a6000f68c558d1ae","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/cf522703d4f194991615763697ae25a3f9539763","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/ea0697129807d718037f618221037aa0660ee3c5"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-21T03:43:09.190223697+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-52933","score":0.00148,"percentile":0.03953,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
