{"cve":"CVE-2026-52852","nvd":{"published":"2026-09-17T19:16:49.827","modified":"2026-09-24T21:25:27.050","status":"Deferred","description":"Traccar is an open source GPS tracking system. Prior to 6.14.0, an authenticated user with permission to manage groups and request reports can create a cyclic group-parent hierarchy and request a trips or stops report for a device in that hierarchy. org.traccar.api.resource.GroupResource permits the parent cycle, while org.traccar.helper.model.AttributeUtil.lookup follows group parents without cycle detection, a visited set, or a depth limit. The storage-backed lookup reached through TripsConfig. and ReportUtils.slowTripsAndStops never terminates, pins a Jetty worker at high CPU after the client disconnects, and can exhaust the web/API worker pool when requests are repeated. The position-ingestion cache-backed path is not part of the confirmed affected scope. This issue is fixed in 6.14.0.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":6.5},"cwes":["CWE-674"],"references":["https://github.com/traccar/traccar/commit/8f6f59ac29d8b1222254e938672a0d99098fd800","https://github.com/traccar/traccar/releases/tag/v6.14.0","https://github.com/traccar/traccar/security/advisories/GHSA-6qh3-234v-r254","https://github.com/traccar/traccar/security/advisories/GHSA-6qh3-234v-r254"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:55:23.253742848+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-52852","score":0.0053,"percentile":0.44864,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
