{"cve":"CVE-2026-50274","nvd":{"published":"2026-07-17T21:17:07.337","modified":"2026-10-24T20:10:00.137","status":"Awaiting Analysis","description":"Datadog dd-trace-go is a Go client library for Datadog application performance monitoring, profiling, and security monitoring. Prior to 2.8.1, Datadog tracing libraries that implement W3C baggage propagation parse incoming baggage HTTP headers without enforcing DD_TRACE_BAGGAGE_MAX_ITEMS or DD_TRACE_BAGGAGE_MAX_BYTES limits on the extract path. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can send a request whose baggage header contains an arbitrarily large number of comma-separated key-value pairs or a single very large value, causing unbounded CPU and memory consumption and enabling a remote denial of service against HTTP services with baggage propagation enabled. This issue is fixed in version 2.8.1.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-770"],"references":["https://github.com/DataDog/dd-trace-go/commit/192712ba0291b2e89166259111ebb5e90c8f52df","https://github.com/DataDog/dd-trace-go/pull/4720","https://github.com/DataDog/dd-trace-go/releases/tag/v2.8.1","https://github.com/DataDog/dd-trace-go/security/advisories/GHSA-74j5-xf3v-crq8"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-25T17:50:08.599881581+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-50274","score":0.00793,"percentile":0.5607,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-74j5-xf3v-crq8","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-74j5-xf3v-crq8","summary":"dd-trace-go: Improper parsing of W3C baggage headers may lead to DoS","modified":"2026-09-10T03:51:10.844026610Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"github.com/DataDog/dd-trace-go","purl":"pkg:golang/github.com/DataDog/dd-trace-go","ranges":["<=1.24.1"],"fixed":[]},{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"github.com/DataDog/dd-trace-go/v2","purl":"pkg:golang/github.com/DataDog/dd-trace-go/v2","ranges":["<2.8.1"],"fixed":["2.8.1"]}]},{"id":"GO-2026-6000","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GO-2026-6000","summary":"Improper parsing of W3C baggage headers may lead to DoS in github.com/DataDog/dd-trace-go","modified":"2026-07-29T14:59:46.574948777Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"github.com/DataDog/dd-trace-go","purl":"pkg:golang/github.com/DataDog/dd-trace-go","ranges":["all versions"],"fixed":[]},{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"github.com/DataDog/dd-trace-go/v2","purl":"pkg:golang/github.com/DataDog/dd-trace-go/v2","ranges":["<2.8.1"],"fixed":["2.8.1"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
