{"cve":"CVE-2026-50185","nvd":{"published":"2026-07-17T19:17:16.370","modified":"2026-10-24T20:10:00.137","status":"Analyzed","description":"RustCrypto CMOV provides conditional move CPU intrinsics which are guaranteed on major platforms to execute in constant-time and not be rewritten as branches by the compiler. From 0.1.1 until 0.5.4, the aarch64 implementations of Cmov and CmovEq in cmov/src/backends/aarch64.rs assume high bits are zero-extended when loading values smaller than a register, so set high bits such as [8..] in a Cmov selector or [16..] of self or other in the u16 and i16 CmovEq implementations can cause left.cmovz(&right, condition) to produce incorrect output. This issue is fixed in version 0.5.4.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:P/PR:L/UI:N/VC:N/VI:L/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":2.0},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:N","score":3.3},"cwes":["CWE-758"],"references":["https://github.com/RustCrypto/utils/commit/dba6c355c9f241e3726d5ec2a68f9f3b519f6063","https://github.com/RustCrypto/utils/releases/tag/cmov-v0.5.4","https://github.com/RustCrypto/utils/security/advisories/GHSA-3rjw-m598-pq24","https://github.com/RustCrypto/utils/security/advisories/GHSA-3rjw-m598-pq24"],"products":["rustcrypto:cmov"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-25T17:50:08.599881581+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-50185","score":0.00161,"percentile":0.0528,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-3rjw-m598-pq24","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-3rjw-m598-pq24","summary":"Cmov/CmovEq on aarch64 can produce wrong results if high-bits of registers are set ","modified":"2026-09-10T03:51:10.250390903Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"crates.io","name":"cmov","purl":"pkg:cargo/cmov","ranges":[">=0.1.1 <0.5.4"],"fixed":["0.5.4"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
