{"cve":"CVE-2026-50132","nvd":{"published":"2026-06-26T21:16:34.420","modified":"2026-06-30T19:26:42.547","status":"Analyzed","description":"Budibase is an open-source low-code platform. Prior to 3.39.0, `GET /api/chat-links/:instance/:token/handoff` is a public endpoint (no auth required) that performs a permanent, state-changing operation: it binds an external chat identity (Slack/Discord/MS Teams) to an authenticated Budibase user account, with no consent UI and no CSRF protection. The session token in the URL is created by the attacker (from their own /link slash command) and embeds the attacker's externalUserId. When an authenticated Budibase victim visits the URL, their account is silently and permanently linked to the attacker's Slack/Discord identity. The server responds with \"Authentication succeeded.\" — no indication of what was linked. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.39.0.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N","score":7.3},"cwes":["CWE-284","CWE-352"],"references":["https://github.com/Budibase/budibase/security/advisories/GHSA-v7j5-vc4m-723w","https://github.com/Budibase/budibase/security/advisories/GHSA-v7j5-vc4m-723w"],"products":["budibase:budibase"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:41:17.107060303+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-50132","score":0.00192,"percentile":0.08908,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-v7j5-vc4m-723w","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-v7j5-vc4m-723w","summary":"Budibase has an Account Impersonation Issue — Chat Identity Link Hijacking via Missing Consent & CSRF","modified":"2026-07-21T15:15:50.446106025Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"@budibase/server","purl":"pkg:npm/%40budibase/server","ranges":["<3.39.0"],"fixed":["3.39.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
