{"cve":"CVE-2026-50014","nvd":{"published":"2026-06-25T18:16:39.043","modified":"2026-06-29T21:14:58.763","status":"Analyzed","description":"pnpm is a package manager. Prior to 10.34.0 and 11.4.0, pnpm passes the lockfile-controlled git resolution.commit value to git fetch without a -- separator or commit-format validation. For git dependencies fetched through the shallow-fetch path, a malicious lockfile can replace the expected 40-character commit hash with a Git option such as --upload-pack=<command>. For SSH and local transports, --upload-pack can execute the supplied command. HTTPS transports ignore --upload-pack, so the practical attack surface is primarily SSH or local git dependencies. This vulnerability is fixed in 10.34.0 and 11.4.0.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N","score":7.3},"cwes":["CWE-88"],"references":["https://github.com/pnpm/pnpm/security/advisories/GHSA-p4xf-rf54-rj3x","https://github.com/pnpm/pnpm/security/advisories/GHSA-p4xf-rf54-rj3x"],"products":["pnpm:pnpm"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:41:17.107060303+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-50014","score":0.00318,"percentile":0.24791,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-p4xf-rf54-rj3x","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-p4xf-rf54-rj3x","summary":"pnpm: Git Fetch Argument Injection via Lockfile resolution.commit","modified":"2026-06-26T23:11:29.682004Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"pnpm","purl":"pkg:npm/pnpm","ranges":["<10.34.0"],"fixed":["10.34.0"]},{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"pnpm","purl":"pkg:npm/pnpm","ranges":[">=11.0.0 <11.4.0"],"fixed":["11.4.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
