Prior to 1.14.1, the Repomix MCP server attach_packed_output and read_repomix_output flow can register and read arbitrary local .json, .txt, .md, or .xml files without the file_system_read_file runSecretLint() safety check or Repomix packed-output validation, allowing MCP callers to bypass the local file-read secret-scanning boundary. This issue is fixed in version 1.14.1.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:H/VI:N/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":6.8},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N","score":5.5},"cwes":["CWE-200"],"references":["https://github.com/yamadashy/repomix/commit/e447f7dba6f51fdb26bcad0c280542fca291960e","https://github.com/yamadashy/repomix/releases/tag/v1.14.1","https://github.com/yamadashy/repomix/security/advisories/GHSA-hwpp-h97w-2h3j","https://github.com/yamadashy/repomix/security/advisories/GHSA-hwpp-h97w-2h3j"],"products":["yamadashy:repomix"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-25T17:50:08.599881581+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-49988","score":0.00184,"percentile":0.07864,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-hwpp-h97w-2h3j","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-hwpp-h97w-2h3j","summary":"repomix: attach_packed_output can bypass file-read secret scanning for supported local files","modified":"2026-07-01T19:26:31.183821Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"repomix","purl":"pkg:npm/repomix","ranges":["<1.14.1"],"fixed":["1.14.1"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
