{"cve":"CVE-2026-49250","nvd":{"published":"2026-09-14T18:17:49.360","modified":"2026-09-30T19:57:08.043","status":"Deferred","description":"Conform, a type-safe form validation library, allows the parsing of nested objects in the form of object.property. From 1.8.0 until 1.19.4, the parseSubmission future API in packages/conform-dom/formdata.ts repeatedly scans FormData or URLSearchParams entries by each unique field name. An unauthenticated attacker can submit a crafted form containing many unique names, causing excessive synchronous CPU work and denial of service in an application that passes the submission to parseSubmission. Applications should continue to enforce request parsing limits before invoking Conform. This issue is fixed in version 1.19.4.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":8.7},"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":["CWE-407"],"references":["https://github.com/edmundhung/conform/commit/f9a1e696ef950efcada5f06ea2b202da505bf9b0","https://github.com/edmundhung/conform/releases/tag/v1.19.4","https://github.com/edmundhung/conform/security/advisories/GHSA-525m-7f82-2mf7"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:53:43.293028046+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-49250","score":0.00514,"percentile":0.43496,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-525m-7f82-2mf7","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-525m-7f82-2mf7","summary":"@conform-to/dom parseSubmission vulnerable to CPU exhaustion when parsing many unique form fields","modified":"2026-09-10T03:51:10.288318232Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"@conform-to/dom","purl":"pkg:npm/%40conform-to/dom","ranges":[">=1.8.0 <1.19.4"],"fixed":["1.19.4"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
