From 6.1.0 until 6.4.41, 7.4.13, and 8.0.13, UrlAttributeSanitizer::getSupportedAttributes() omitted URL-bearing attributes on <object>, <applet>, <iframe>, and <img>, and <meta http-equiv=\"refresh\"> URLs inside content bypassed URL sanitization, allowing explicitly enabled elements or attributes to pass javascript: and similar payloads into sanitized output. This issue is fixed in versions 6.4.41, 7.4.13, and 8.0.13.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:P/VC:N/VI:N/VA:N/SC:L/SI:L/SA:N","score":5.3},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":6.1},"cwes":["CWE-79","CWE-1023"],"references":["https://github.com/symfony/symfony/commit/069a70f9f26e61e9de3b7f9a864a86ed24b36bd0","https://github.com/symfony/symfony/releases/tag/v6.4.41","https://github.com/symfony/symfony/releases/tag/v7.4.13","https://github.com/symfony/symfony/releases/tag/v8.0.13","https://github.com/symfony/symfony/security/advisories/GHSA-x5qj-865h-mgvm"],"products":["sensiolabs:symfony"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:45:36.895656543+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-48761","score":0.00345,"percentile":0.28014,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
