Prior to 4.12.21, app.mount() strips the mount prefix from the incoming request path using the raw URL pathname, while route matching is performed against the percent-decoded path. This inconsistency causes the prefix to be stripped at the wrong position when the path contains percent-encoded multi-byte characters, resulting in the mounted sub-application receiving an incorrect path. This vulnerability is fixed in 4.12.21.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N","score":5.3},"cwes":["CWE-444","CWE-693"],"references":["https://github.com/honojs/hono/security/advisories/GHSA-2gcr-mfcq-wcc3"],"products":["hono:hono"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:36:28.938604137+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-47676","score":0.0026,"percentile":0.17485,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-2gcr-mfcq-wcc3","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-2gcr-mfcq-wcc3","summary":"Hono: app.mount() strips mount prefix using undecoded path, causing incorrect routing for percent-encoded paths","modified":"2026-09-10T03:51:07.554753223Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"hono","purl":"pkg:npm/hono","ranges":["<4.12.21"],"fixed":["4.12.21"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
