{"cve":"CVE-2026-47669","nvd":{"published":"2026-07-23T20:17:08.357","modified":"2026-07-28T16:17:16.127","status":"Deferred","description":"DbGate is cross-platform database manager. In versions 7.1.8 and prior, the `unzipDirectory()` function in `packages/api/src/shell/unzipDirectory.js` (line 27) does not validate that extracted file paths stay within the output directory. A malicious ZIP with `../` entries writes files anywhere on the filesystem. In the default Docker deployment, DbGate runs as root and the `none` auth provider issues JWT tokens without credentials via `POST /auth/login`, so this is exploitable by any network-adjacent attacker. Version 7.1.9 fixes the issue.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":9.3},"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":["CWE-22"],"references":["https://github.com/dbgate/dbgate/releases/tag/v7.1.9","https://github.com/dbgate/dbgate/security/advisories/GHSA-h535-j5hr-mv56"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:45:53.305392138+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-47669","score":0.00515,"percentile":0.43911,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-h535-j5hr-mv56","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-h535-j5hr-mv56","summary":"DbGate: Zip Slip in archive/unzip allows arbitrary file write leading to RCE","modified":"2026-06-05T16:41:31.411030Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"dbgate","purl":"pkg:npm/dbgate","ranges":["<7.1.9"],"fixed":["7.1.9"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
