From 1.34.0 until 1.35.13, 1.36.9, 1.37.5, and 1.38.3, Envoy crashes if an ext_proc server sends a single gRPC message containing multiple, specially crafted ProcessingResponse messages. This can occur when the first response in the batch causes the gRPC stream object to be destroyed, leading to a use-after-free error when Envoy attempts to process subsequent responses in the same gRPC message. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.35.13, 1.36.9, 1.37.5, and 1.38.3.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":6.5},"cwes":["CWE-416"],"references":["https://github.com/envoyproxy/envoy/security/advisories/GHSA-68cv-hq5f-g6xv","https://github.com/envoyproxy/envoy/security/advisories/GHSA-68cv-hq5f-g6xv"],"products":["envoyproxy:envoy"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-25T17:50:06.907763985+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-47207","score":0.00444,"percentile":0.38338,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
