JDK then calls the default \nObjectInputStream.resolveProxyClass(interfaces) implementation, which \nperforms Class.forName(intf, false, latestUserDefinedLoader()) for EACH \ninterface name and constructs the proxy class — bypassing the accepted\n classes list .\n\n\nZDRES-233: Class.forName(name, initialize=true, classLoader) in \nreadClassDescriptor Triggers Static Initialiser of Allow-Listed Classes\n\n\nAssessment: Fully addressed.\n\n\nFor ANY class on the allow-list, deserialising a stream that names it triggers the class’s \n (static initialiser) BEFORE any instance is constructed. This means an \nattacker who supplies a class name on the allow-list (e.g., the \ndeveloper wrote accept(“com.myapp.*\") , attacker supplies \ncom.myapp.SomeClass ) causes <clinit> of SomeClass — and many \nreal-world classes have side-effecting static initialisers\n\n\nBoth issues have been fixed.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":9.8},"cwes":["CWE-502"],"references":["https://lists.apache.org/thread/y7xj1bl8qo47p9bktb11hg5v6k1d4dyj"],"products":["apache:mina"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:37:48.043517290+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-47065","score":0.00504,"percentile":0.43115,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-v3pr-hxpr-mfm8","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-v3pr-hxpr-mfm8","summary":"Apache MINA: Critical Deserialization Allow-list Bypass via resolveProxyClass","modified":"2026-09-10T03:51:09.571850654Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Maven","name":"org.apache.mina:mina-core","purl":"pkg:maven/org.apache.mina/mina-core","ranges":[">=2.2.0 <2.2.8"],"fixed":["2.2.8"]},{"ecosystem":"Maven","name":"org.apache.mina:mina-core","purl":"pkg:maven/org.apache.mina/mina-core","ranges":[">=2.1.0 <2.1.13"],"fixed":["2.1.13"]},{"ecosystem":"Maven","name":"org.apache.mina:mina-core","purl":"pkg:maven/org.apache.mina/mina-core","ranges":["<2.0.29"],"fixed":["2.0.29"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
