A stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in versions prior to 26.0.0 due to improper sanitization of `<iframe>` elements. The application allows `javascript:` URIs in the `src` attribute, which are executed when a malicious page is viewed. This enables attackers to execute arbitrary JavaScript in the context of the victim’s browser and access sensitive data exposed to client-side scripts. Version 26.0.0 fixes the issue.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:P/VC:H/VI:H/VA:N/SC:H/SI:H/SA:N","score":9.3},"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":["CWE-79"],"references":["https://github.com/haxtheweb/issues/security/advisories/GHSA-jh3h-rpxg-fr36","https://github.com/haxtheweb/issues/security/advisories/GHSA-jh3h-rpxg-fr36"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:37:48.043517290+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-46396","score":0.0023,"percentile":0.13899,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-jh3h-rpxg-fr36","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-jh3h-rpxg-fr36","summary":"Stored XSS via <iframe> in HAX CMS allows access to sensitive client-side data and account takeover","modified":"2026-09-10T03:51:06.237354969Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"@haxtheweb/haxcms-nodejs","purl":"pkg:npm/%40haxtheweb/haxcms-nodejs","ranges":["<26.0.0"],"fixed":["26.0.0"]},{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"@haxtheweb/video-player","purl":"pkg:npm/%40haxtheweb/video-player","ranges":["<26.0.0"],"fixed":["26.0.0"]},{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"@haxtheweb/iframe-loader","purl":"pkg:npm/%40haxtheweb/iframe-loader","ranges":["<26.0.0"],"fixed":["26.0.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
