Starting in version 9.0.1 and prior to version 26.0.0 of @haxtheweb/open-apis, multiple functions conduct substring-only matching to validate hostnames to which basic authorization should be sent. An attacker can append the matched substrings to an attacker-controlled endpoint and capture authentication. Version 26.0.0 fixes the issue.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:H/VI:N/VA:N/SC:L/SI:N/SA:N","score":8.7},"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":["CWE-183","CWE-918"],"references":["https://github.com/haxtheweb/issues/security/advisories/GHSA-4fg7-f244-3j49","https://github.com/haxtheweb/issues/security/advisories/GHSA-4fg7-f244-3j49"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-26T11:33:08.859761529+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-46391","score":0.00457,"percentile":0.39396,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-4fg7-f244-3j49","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-4fg7-f244-3j49","summary":"HAX open-apis: Credential Theft via Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) in open-apis","modified":"2026-09-10T03:50:45.404977915Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"@haxtheweb/open-apis","purl":"pkg:npm/%40haxtheweb/open-apis","ranges":["<26.0.0"],"fixed":["26.0.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
