Prior to versions 3.12.2 and 4.0.3, the HTTPSFetcher._do_fetch() method passes a user-supplied URL directly to requests.get() without validation. This allows an attacker to perform Server-Side Request Forgery, targeting internal services or cloud metadata endpoints. Versions 3.12.2 and 4.0.3 fix the issue.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:H/I:L/A:N","score":6.7},"cwes":["CWE-918"],"references":["https://github.com/oscal-compass/compliance-trestle/commit/53de5e75332888ea54f5da41d4c7859bb1d608e1","https://github.com/oscal-compass/compliance-trestle/commit/5c65c5926fe7ca908b9c1d281f904e7d97ba8310","https://github.com/oscal-compass/compliance-trestle/security/advisories/GHSA-w76h-q7c6-jpjp","https://github.com/pypa/advisory-database/tree/main/vulns/compliance-trestle/PYSEC-2026-2427.yaml","https://github.com/oscal-compass/compliance-trestle/security/advisories/GHSA-w76h-q7c6-jpjp"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:48:17.459049833+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-46380","score":0.00142,"percentile":0.03531,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-w76h-q7c6-jpjp","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-w76h-q7c6-jpjp","summary":"compliance-trestle Vulnerable to SSRF in Remote Fetching Subsystem","modified":"2026-07-13T16:43:37.864644990Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"compliance-trestle","purl":"pkg:pypi/compliance-trestle","ranges":[">=4.0.0 <4.0.3"],"fixed":["4.0.3"]},{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"compliance-trestle","purl":"pkg:pypi/compliance-trestle","ranges":["<3.12.2"],"fixed":["3.12.2"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-2427","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-2427","summary":"compliance-trestle Vulnerable to SSRF in Remote Fetching Subsystem","modified":"2026-07-13T16:32:36.325752689Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"compliance-trestle","purl":"pkg:pypi/compliance-trestle","ranges":["<3.12.2",">=4.0.0 <4.0.3"],"fixed":["3.12.2","4.0.3"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
