The tpm_dev_release() path\nis the only one that does not, leaving key material in freed slab\nmemory until it is eventually overwritten.\n\nUse kfree_sensitive() for consistency with the rest of the driver and\nto ensure session keys are scrubbed during device teardown.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":5.5},"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/53e6d2d834df40960b655b353e7a8ff4d927e1c7","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/84ced03172da544c9f8c0862faad48104f519352","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/c424d2664f08c77f08b4580b5f0cbaabf7c229b2","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/dd3ac52ea7a001406c7dbc663aae4b9f89da679a"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:38:48.522727527+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-46283","score":0.00122,"percentile":0.01958,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
