Add usb_check_bulk_endpoints() and usb_check_int_endpoints()\ncalls after usb_set_interface() to verify endpoint types before use,\nrejecting devices with mismatched descriptors at probe time.\n\nSimilar to\n- commit 90b7f2961798 (\"net: usb: rtl8150: enable basic endpoint checking\")\nwhich fixed the issue in rtl8150.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":5.5},"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/163d04897e57633c5d2e69734e4e4b22bb63f50d","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/1a42cfced8900d33d032c7ec338484855b61b8cc","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/36c28b028efba0f42218d41fed12c47ce217c1f1","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/9e7021d2aeae57c323a6f722ed7915686cdcc123","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/a488001a8197da4f9c413eec8f6acbff71c60145"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:36:28.938604137+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-45923","score":0.0016,"percentile":0.05211,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
