If raid1_set_limits() fails, the previously\nregistered thread is not unregistered, resulting in a memory leak\nof the md_thread structure and the thread resource itself.\n\nAdd md_unregister_thread() to the error path to properly cleanup\nthe thread, which aligns with the error handling logic of other paths\nin this function.\n\nCompile tested only. Issue found using a prototype static analysis tool\nand code review.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":5.5},"cwes":["CWE-401"],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/6abc7d5dcf0ee0f85e16e41c87fbd06231f28753","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/b37588b0282a2b3cdda9db1d53712745ce66dea0","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/c94fd6e8a71efd047ff36930e840f3c25679e136","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/ec10e3dc93994b87adf7c759a4639fe34013989a"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:36:28.938604137+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-45888","score":0.0016,"percentile":0.05135,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
