These early returns bypass the cleanup logic,\nleading to memory leaks.\n\nConsolidate the error handling by adding an out_free_rpl_list label and use\ngoto statements to ensure rpl_list is consistently freed on failure.\n\nCompile tested only. Issue found using a prototype static analysis tool and\ncode review.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":5.5},"cwes":["CWE-401"],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/41b37312bd9722af77ec7817ccf22d7a4880c289","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/454570434114e4862767f506a442a0f110b639b2","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/d52e13122d3771f753dd73ae6512fa01f58015cb","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/e5579ebaadc7b699868dad0f591a7bf83cd647e1","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/f471ecfec093e39ef8fd08978413793087daa14d"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:36:28.938604137+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-45872","score":0.00171,"percentile":0.06439,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
