Prior to 1.13.0, the AnythingLLM agent filesystem copy tool validates only the top-level source and destination paths. The recursive copy helper then descends into child entries using fs.stat() and copies files with fs.copyFile() without validating each child or rejecting symlinks. Because both APIs follow symlinks, a symlink nested inside an allowed source directory can point outside the allowed filesystem root and cause outside file contents to be copied into an allowed destination as a regular file. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.13.0.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N","score":2.5},"cwes":["CWE-59"],"references":["https://github.com/Mintplex-Labs/anything-llm/commit/21ce03087145a4261c1de03b056fba639f699c09","https://github.com/Mintplex-Labs/anything-llm/security/advisories/GHSA-vjrp-43mm-j7vw","https://github.com/Mintplex-Labs/anything-llm/security/advisories/GHSA-vjrp-43mm-j7vw"],"products":["mintplexlabs:anythingllm"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:36:28.938604137+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-45403","score":0.00193,"percentile":0.0896,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
