Prior to 0.5.0b3.dev100, the fix for CVE-2026-33509 prevents setting storage_folder inside PKGDIR or userdir, but does NOT protect the Flask session directory (/tmp/pyLoad/flask). An authenticated attacker can set storage_folder to the session directory and download session files of other users via /files/get/, leading to account takeover. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.5.0b3.dev100.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N","score":6.5},"cwes":["CWE-706"],"references":["https://github.com/pyload/pyload/security/advisories/GHSA-w727-595x-pc3r","https://github.com/pyload/pyload/security/advisories/GHSA-w727-595x-pc3r"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:36:28.938604137+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-45306","score":0.00234,"percentile":0.14402,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-w727-595x-pc3r","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-w727-595x-pc3r","summary":"pyLoad Has Incomplete Fix for CVE-2026-33509 -storage_folder Bypass via Session Directory in pyLoad","modified":"2026-07-13T16:43:32.057393623Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"pyload-ng","purl":"pkg:pypi/pyload-ng","ranges":["<=0.5.0b3.dev99"],"fixed":[]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-2998","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-2998","summary":"pyLoad Has Incomplete Fix for CVE-2026-33509 -storage_folder Bypass via Session Directory in pyLoad","modified":"2026-07-13T16:32:43.930902604Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"pyload-ng","purl":"pkg:pypi/pyload-ng","ranges":["<=0.5.0b3.dev99"],"fixed":[]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
