{"cve":"CVE-2026-45161","nvd":{"published":"2026-10-07T14:17:10.087","modified":"2026-10-07T17:16:55.703","status":"Deferred","description":"wger is a free, open-source workout and fitness manager. Prior to version 2.6, the `trainer_login` view in wger accepts GET requests and executes `django_login()` without any CSRF protection, because Django's `CsrfViewMiddleware` only enforces tokens on unsafe methods (POST/PUT/PATCH/DELETE). An attacker can embed a single `<img>` tag on a malicious page; when an authenticated trainer loads that page, their browser auto-issues the GET with the session cookie, forcibly rebinding the trainer's session to an arbitrary user account. Version 2.6 fixes the issue.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":5.4},"cwes":["CWE-352"],"references":["https://github.com/wger-project/wger/releases/tag/2.6","https://github.com/wger-project/wger/security/advisories/GHSA-xf64-4pmc-h8qf"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:58:01.639778232+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-45161","score":0.00088,"percentile":0.00362,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-xf64-4pmc-h8qf","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-xf64-4pmc-h8qf","summary":"wger: trainer_login accepts GET - CSRF bypass enables forced session rebinding","modified":"2026-10-15T14:55:46.505518952Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"wger","purl":"pkg:pypi/wger","ranges":["<=2.1"],"fixed":[]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-4317","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-4317","summary":"wger: trainer_login accepts GET - CSRF bypass enables forced session rebinding","modified":"2026-10-15T14:45:10.344591813Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"wger","purl":"pkg:pypi/wger","ranges":["<=2.1"],"fixed":[]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
