{"cve":"CVE-2026-45052","nvd":{"published":"2026-09-15T10:17:04.307","modified":"2026-09-30T17:43:24.057","status":"Awaiting Analysis","description":"Open Access Management (OpenAM) is an access management solution. Prior to 16.1.1, the Liberty Web Services SOAP receiver permits unauthenticated remote requests to write persistent entries through SOAPReceiver and DiscoveryService into a user's Liberty Discovery store and the shared root-realm Discovery branch. The server-side handlers bypass requester LDAP and identity ACLs, and the global path uses an internal administrative token. Deployments that consume Liberty discovery data can subsequently use manipulated service-routing or security-mechanism records. This issue is fixed in version 16.1.1.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:L/SC:N/SI:L/SA:N","score":9.3},"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":["CWE-285"],"references":["https://github.com/OpenIdentityPlatform/OpenAM/commit/07e402c3f6321fbe5ffdb213f3817f09a8fc81de","https://github.com/OpenIdentityPlatform/OpenAM/releases/tag/16.1.1","https://github.com/OpenIdentityPlatform/OpenAM/security/advisories/GHSA-p462-xxwx-pqf4"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:53:43.293028046+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-45052","score":0.00765,"percentile":0.55167,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-p462-xxwx-pqf4","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-p462-xxwx-pqf4","summary":"OpenAM Pre-auth User Profile Tampering via Anonymous SOAP Authn in Liberty IDPP/Discovery Endpoints","modified":"2026-06-24T17:56:29.488281Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Maven","name":"org.openidentityplatform.openam:openam-federation-library","purl":"pkg:maven/org.openidentityplatform.openam/openam-federation-library","ranges":["<16.1.1"],"fixed":["16.1.1"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
