{"cve":"CVE-2026-44649","nvd":{"published":"2026-05-29T19:16:24.720","modified":"2026-07-22T06:10:00.170","status":"Deferred","description":"SillyTavern is a locally installed user interface that allows users to interact with text generation large language models, image generation engines, and text-to-speech voice models. Prior to 1.18.0, SillyTavern accepts Remote-User (Authelia) and X-Authentik-Username (Authentik) HTTP headers to automatically log in users when SSO is configured. There is no validation that these headers originate from a trusted reverse proxy. Any network client that can reach the SillyTavern port directly can inject these headers and authenticate as any user, including administrators, without a password. This vulnerability is exploitable only when sso.autheliaAuth: true or sso.authentikAuth: true is set in config.yaml (both default to false). This vulnerability is fixed in 1.18.0.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":9.8},"cwes":["CWE-290","CWE-306","CWE-346","CWE-807"],"references":["https://github.com/SillyTavern/SillyTavern/security/advisories/GHSA-gxx6-h3g6-vwjh","https://github.com/SillyTavern/SillyTavern/security/advisories/GHSA-gxx6-h3g6-vwjh"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:37:48.043517290+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-44649","score":0.00218,"percentile":0.12281,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-gxx6-h3g6-vwjh","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-gxx6-h3g6-vwjh","summary":"SillyTavern has Authentication Bypass via SSO Header Injection","modified":"2026-06-09T10:45:16.354099810Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"sillytavern","purl":"pkg:npm/sillytavern","ranges":["<1.18.0"],"fixed":["1.18.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
