Prior to 2.5.37, an improper access control vulnerability in the authentication key reset functionality allowed an authenticated organization administrator to reset authentication keys belonging to site administrator accounts within the same organization. Because non-site administrators were not explicitly prevented from accessing or resetting site administrator auth keys, an attacker with organization administrator privileges could potentially obtain a newly generated auth key for a higher-privileged account and use it to escalate privileges. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.5.37.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:H/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":8.6},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":7.2},"cwes":["CWE-863"],"references":["https://github.com/MISP/MISP/security/advisories/GHSA-3939-4g6m-m3hc"],"products":["misp-project:misp"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:35:16.954578616+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-44380","score":0.00403,"percentile":0.34536,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
