Prior to 1.19.3, the Fluentd out_http output plugin allows placeholders such as ${tag} in the endpoint configuration parameter, and if a placeholder value is derived from untrusted input an attacker can control the destination hostname of outbound HTTP requests and force requests to arbitrary internal services. This issue is fixed in version 1.19.3.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:N/A:L","score":7.2},"cwes":["CWE-918"],"references":["https://github.com/fluent/fluentd/commit/c6a01ea2e0ea01977f8d615f7c6dbfae4cba88c9","https://github.com/fluent/fluentd/pull/5394","https://github.com/fluent/fluentd/releases/tag/v1.19.3","https://github.com/fluent/fluentd/security/advisories/GHSA-72f5-rr8c-r6gr"],"products":["fluentd:fluentd"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-25T17:50:06.907763985+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-44161","score":0.00442,"percentile":0.38111,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-72f5-rr8c-r6gr","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-72f5-rr8c-r6gr","summary":"Fluentd is Vulnerable to Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) via Placeholder Expansion in `out_http`","modified":"2026-09-10T03:50:48.732426416Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"RubyGems","name":"fluentd","purl":"pkg:gem/fluentd","ranges":["<1.19.3"],"fixed":["1.19.3"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
