This pointer can be dereferenced\nif there is a failure during reader page validation. In this case the control\nis passed to \"invalid\" label where the pointer is dereferenced in a loop.\n\nTo fix the issue initialize orig_head and head_page before calling\nrb_validate_buffer.\n\nFound by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with SVACE.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":5.5},"cwes":["CWE-476"],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/a4afdff9c715af50cf6c3f2dc601932c2cea17a2","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/bc77986f3cb7476637052edf2d87137fa39f153d","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/d9942396845fef2369478c157b26738fe07142f6","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/f1547779402c4cd67755c33616b7203baa88420b"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-22T16:41:11.231219466+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-43272","score":0.00159,"percentile":0.04976,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
