Previously, the buffer was enqueued in `buffers->list`\nbefore the DMA allocation. If the allocation failed, the function returned\n`-ENOMEM` while leaving a partially initialized buffer in the list, which\ncould lead to inconsistent state and potential leaks.\n\nBy adding the buffer to the list only after `dma_alloc_attrs()` succeeds,\nwe ensure the list contains only valid, fully initialized buffers.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":5.5},"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/2d0bbd982dfdd67da488a772f7a8a1bdca7642bf","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/45b30f65feeb4d5570d5337793bb0f298be813d2","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/98b4c4c90f1e11caecbe2093dbe3a901d338bc81"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:33:55.586217763+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-43146","score":0.00126,"percentile":0.02267,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
