{"cve":"CVE-2026-4290","nvd":{"published":"2026-05-29T15:16:24.893","modified":"2026-07-21T12:10:00.090","status":"Deferred","description":"The WP Travel Pro plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary user deletion via the /wp-json/wp-travel/v1/travel-guide/{user_id} REST API endpoint in all versions up to, and including, 10.6.0. This is due to the check_permission() callback unconditionally returning true and the Database::delete() method passing the user ID directly to wp_delete_user() without any role validation. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to delete arbitrary user accounts, including those of administrators.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:H","score":9.1},"cwes":["CWE-862"],"references":["https://wptravel.io/wp-travel-pro/","https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/885dd550-4c80-4e36-8dae-cb47c1500ea5?source=cve"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:37:48.043517290+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-4290","score":0.00258,"percentile":0.17542,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
