Prior to 5.1.3, the MCP HTTP transport accepts JSON-RPC tools/call requests with no authentication, session, origin, or token check, and dispatches them directly to the orchestrator's tool registry. The default bind address is 0.0.0.0. As a result, any party with network reachability to the service can enumerate and invoke privileged management tools. This vulnerability is fixed in 5.1.3.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:H/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":8.7},"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":["CWE-306"],"references":["https://github.com/Jovancoding/Network-AI/security/advisories/GHSA-fj4g-2p96-q6m3","https://github.com/Jovancoding/Network-AI/security/advisories/GHSA-fj4g-2p96-q6m3"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-26T18:27:13.530666824+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-42856","score":0.00471,"percentile":0.40516,"date":"2026-10-26"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-fj4g-2p96-q6m3","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-fj4g-2p96-q6m3","summary":"Network-AI missing authentication on MCP HTTP endpoint, which allows unauthenticated privileged tool calls","modified":"2026-05-13T14:34:44.953089Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"network-ai","purl":"pkg:npm/network-ai","ranges":["<5.1.3"],"fixed":["5.1.3"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
