Prior to version 1.69.3, a prototype pollution vulnerability in the mailbox store module allows attackers to modify the behavior of all JavaScript objects by injecting malicious properties into Object.prototype. The vulnerability exists in the _applyUpdate() and _updateRecord() functions which use Object.assign() to merge user-controlled data without filtering dangerous keys like __proto__, constructor, or prototype. This issue has been patched in version 1.69.3.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:H","score":5.2},"cwes":["CWE-1321"],"references":["https://github.com/EvoMap/evolver/releases/tag/v1.69.3","https://github.com/EvoMap/evolver/security/advisories/GHSA-2cjr-5v3h-v2w4","https://github.com/EvoMap/evolver/security/advisories/GHSA-2cjr-5v3h-v2w4"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-26T19:31:02.781428341+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-42077","score":0.00109,"percentile":0.01233,"date":"2026-10-26"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-2cjr-5v3h-v2w4","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-2cjr-5v3h-v2w4","summary":"Evolver has Prototype Pollution via `Object.assign()` in its mailbox store operations","modified":"2026-05-05T16:11:41.872122Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"@evomap/evolver","purl":"pkg:npm/%40evomap/evolver","ranges":["<1.69.3"],"fixed":["1.69.3"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
