{"cve":"CVE-2026-4127","nvd":{"published":"2026-03-21T04:17:41.393","modified":"2026-06-17T10:56:01.963","status":"Deferred","description":"The Speedup Optimization plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Missing Authorization in all versions up to and including 1.5.9. The `speedup01_ajax_enabled()` function, which handles the `wp_ajax_speedup01_enabled` AJAX action, does not perform any capability check via `current_user_can()` and also lacks nonce verification. This is in contrast to other AJAX handlers in the same plugin (e.g., `speedup01_ajax_install_iox` and `speedup01_ajax_delete_cache_file`) which properly check for `install_plugins` and `manage_options` capabilities respectively. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to enable or disable the site's optimization module by sending a POST request to admin-ajax.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:N","score":4.3},"cwes":["CWE-862"],"references":["https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/speedup-optimization/tags/1.5.9/speedup-optimization.php#L172","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/speedup-optimization/tags/1.5.9/speedup-optimization.php#L178","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/speedup-optimization/trunk/speedup-optimization.php#L172","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/speedup-optimization/trunk/speedup-optimization.php#L178","https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/3f37c650-af0d-4474-9c1b-7f8d361b4d81?source=cve"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:26:19.218427112+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-4127","score":0.00215,"percentile":0.11959,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
