Prior to version 0.1.17, `downloadPackageManager()` accepts an untrusted `version` string and uses it directly in filesystem paths. A caller can supply `../` segments or an absolute path to escape the `VP_HOME/package_manager/<pm>/` cache root and make Vite+ delete, replace, and populate directories outside the intended cache location. Version 0.1.17 contains a patch.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:H/SA:H","score":8.4},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:N/I:H/A:H","score":10.0},"cwes":["CWE-22"],"references":["https://github.com/voidzero-dev/vite-plus/security/advisories/GHSA-33r3-4whc-44c2","https://github.com/voidzero-dev/vite-plus/security/advisories/GHSA-33r3-4whc-44c2"],"products":["voidzero:vite\\+"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-26T21:38:48.864438205+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-41211","score":0.00311,"percentile":0.23789,"date":"2026-10-26"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-33r3-4whc-44c2","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-33r3-4whc-44c2","summary":" Path traversal in vite-plus/binding downloadPackageManager() writes outside VP_HOME","modified":"2026-05-06T14:16:21.523635Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"vite-plus","purl":"pkg:npm/vite-plus","ranges":["<0.1.17"],"fixed":["0.1.17"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
