In versions 3.6.3 and prior, the /api/av/removeUnusedAttributeView endpoint constructs a filesystem path using the user-controlled id parameter without validation or path boundary enforcement. An attacker can inject path traversal sequences such as ../ into the id value to escape the intended directory and delete arbitrary .json files on the server, including global configuration files and workspace metadata. This issue has been fixed in version 3.6.4.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:N/I:L/A:H","score":8.5},"cwes":["CWE-24"],"references":["https://github.com/siyuan-note/siyuan/releases/tag/v3.6.4","https://github.com/siyuan-note/siyuan/security/advisories/GHSA-vw86-c94w-v3x4"],"products":["b3log:siyuan"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:30:49.762551342+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-40318","score":0.00287,"percentile":0.21289,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-vw86-c94w-v3x4","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-vw86-c94w-v3x4","summary":"SiYuan: Publish Reader Path Traversal Delete via `removeUnusedAttributeView`","modified":"2026-09-10T03:51:03.471120870Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"github.com/siyuan-note/siyuan/kernel","purl":"pkg:golang/github.com/siyuan-note/siyuan/kernel","ranges":["<3.6.40.0.0-20260407035653-2f416e5253f1"],"fixed":["3.6.40.0.0-20260407035653-2f416e5253f1"]}]},{"id":"GO-2026-5679","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GO-2026-5679","summary":"SiYuan: Publish Reader Path Traversal Delete via `removeUnusedAttributeView` in github.com/siyuan-note/siyuan/kernel","modified":"2026-06-25T23:01:26.722581401Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"github.com/siyuan-note/siyuan/kernel","purl":"pkg:golang/github.com/siyuan-note/siyuan/kernel","ranges":["all versions"],"fixed":[]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
