{"cve":"CVE-2026-40309","nvd":{"published":"2026-05-06T20:16:32.137","modified":"2026-06-17T10:44:58.817","status":"Deferred","description":"Masa CMS is a content management system forked from Mura CMS. In versions 7.5.2 and earlier, the cTrash.empty function does not validate anti-CSRF tokens for trash management requests. An attacker can induce a logged-in administrator to submit a forged request that empties the trash and permanently deletes all deleted content. This can cause irreversible data loss and disrupt recovery of content intended for restoration. This issue has been fixed in versions 7.2.10, 7.3.15, 7.4.10, and 7.5.3. As a workaround, restrict access to the administrative backend, use browser isolation for administrative sessions, and maintain current database backups to recover from unauthorized deletion.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:P/VC:N/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":7.2},"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":["CWE-352"],"references":["https://github.com/MasaCMS/MasaCMS/security/advisories/GHSA-9f35-q62j-vm5j"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:33:55.586217763+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-40309","score":0.00165,"percentile":0.05695,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
