Prior to 2.57.1, under certain circumstances, requests could bypass the BODY_SIZE_LIMIT on SvelteKit applications running with adapter-node. This bypass does not affect body size limits at other layers of the application stack, so limits enforced in the WAF, gateway, or at the platform level are unaffected. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.57.1.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":8.2},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-770"],"references":["https://github.com/sveltejs/kit/commit/3202ed6c98f9e8d86bf0c4c7ad0f2e273e5e3b95","https://github.com/sveltejs/kit/releases/tag/@sveltejs/kit@2.57.1","https://github.com/sveltejs/kit/security/advisories/GHSA-2crg-3p73-43xp"],"products":["svelte:kit"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-25T23:44:33.281319194+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-40073","score":0.00536,"percentile":0.44895,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-2crg-3p73-43xp","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-2crg-3p73-43xp","summary":"@sveltejs/adapter-node has a BODY_SIZE_LIMIT bypass","modified":"2026-04-10T20:04:59.545849Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"@sveltejs/kit","purl":"pkg:npm/%40sveltejs/kit","ranges":["<2.57.1"],"fixed":["2.57.1"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
