Prior to 4.5.115, the create_agent_centric_tools() function returns tools (like acp_create_file) that process file content using template rendering. When user input from agent.start() is passed directly into these tools without escaping, template expressions in the input are executed rather than treated as literal text. This vulnerability is fixed in 4.5.115.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":8.8},"cwes":["CWE-94"],"references":["https://github.com/MervinPraison/PraisonAI/security/advisories/GHSA-hwg5-x759-7wjg","https://github.com/MervinPraison/PraisonAI/security/advisories/GHSA-hwg5-x759-7wjg"],"products":["praison:praisonai"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:28:59.047572785+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-39891","score":0.00559,"percentile":0.46555,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-hwg5-x759-7wjg","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-hwg5-x759-7wjg","summary":"PraisonAI has Template Injection in Agent Tool Definitions","modified":"2026-07-13T16:43:05.636283858Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"praisonai","purl":"pkg:pypi/praisonai","ranges":["<4.5.115"],"fixed":["4.5.115"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-2917","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-2917","summary":"PraisonAI has Template Injection in Agent Tool Definitions","modified":"2026-07-13T16:33:03.345443791Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"praisonai","purl":"pkg:pypi/praisonai","ranges":["<4.5.115"],"fixed":["4.5.115"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
