{"cve":"CVE-2026-39890","nvd":{"published":"2026-04-08T21:17:01.267","modified":"2026-07-24T21:10:00.143","status":"Analyzed","description":"PraisonAI is a multi-agent teams system. Prior to 4.5.115, the AgentService.loadAgentFromFile method uses the js-yaml library to parse YAML files without disabling dangerous tags (such as !!js/function and !!js/undefined). This allows an attacker to craft a malicious YAML file that, when parsed, executes arbitrary JavaScript code. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by uploading a malicious agent definition file via the API endpoint, leading to remote code execution (RCE) on the server. This vulnerability is fixed in 4.5.115.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":9.8},"cwes":["CWE-502"],"references":["https://github.com/MervinPraison/PraisonAI/security/advisories/GHSA-32vr-5gcf-3pw2","https://github.com/MervinPraison/PraisonAI/security/advisories/GHSA-32vr-5gcf-3pw2"],"products":["praison:praisonai"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:28:59.047572785+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-39890","score":0.0058,"percentile":0.4773,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-32vr-5gcf-3pw2","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-32vr-5gcf-3pw2","summary":"PraisonAI Vulnerable to Remote Code Execution via YAML Deserialization in Agent Definition Loading","modified":"2026-06-29T12:26:17.435399208Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"praisonai","purl":"pkg:pypi/praisonai","ranges":["<4.5.115"],"fixed":["4.5.115"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-462","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-462","summary":"PraisonAI Vulnerable to Remote Code Execution via YAML Deserialization in Agent Definition Loading","modified":"2026-07-13T16:15:30.049008265Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"praisonai","purl":"pkg:pypi/praisonai","ranges":["<4.5.115"],"fixed":["4.5.115"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
