Starting in version 1.13.0 and prior to 1.13.2, Axios HTTP/2 session cleanup logic contains a state corruption bug that allows a malicious server to crash the client process through concurrent session closures. The vulnerability exists in the Http2Sessions.getSession() method in lib/adapters/http.js. The session cleanup logic contains a control flow error when removing sessions from the sessions array. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.13.2.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":5.9},"cwes":["CWE-400","CWE-662"],"references":["https://github.com/axios/axios/commit/0588880ac7ddba7594ef179930493884b7e90bf5","https://github.com/axios/axios/releases/tag/v1.13.2","https://github.com/axios/axios/security/advisories/GHSA-qj83-cq47-w5f8"],"products":["axios:axios"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:28:59.047572785+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-39865","score":0.00731,"percentile":0.54315,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-qj83-cq47-w5f8","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-qj83-cq47-w5f8","summary":"Axios HTTP/2 Session Cleanup State Corruption Vulnerability","modified":"2026-09-10T03:51:02.817552720Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"axios","purl":"pkg:npm/axios","ranges":[">=1.13.0 <1.13.2"],"fixed":["1.13.2"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
