{"cve":"CVE-2026-39313","nvd":{"published":"2026-04-16T22:16:38.073","modified":"2026-10-26T21:10:00.170","status":"Deferred","description":"mcp-framework is a framework for building Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers. In versions 0.2.21 and below, the readRequestBody() function in the HTTP transport concatenates request body chunks into a string with no size limit. Although a maxMessageSize configuration value exists, it is never enforced in readRequestBody(). A remote unauthenticated attacker can crash any mcp-framework HTTP server by sending a single large POST request to /mcp, causing memory exhaustion and denial of service. This issue has been fixed in version 0.2.22.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":8.7},"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":["CWE-770"],"references":["https://github.com/QuantGeekDev/mcp-framework/commit/f97d2bb76d6359faf10cd1fc54b4911476b62524","https://github.com/QuantGeekDev/mcp-framework/security/advisories/GHSA-353c-v8x9-v7c3"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-26T21:38:48.864438205+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-39313","score":0.00495,"percentile":0.42187,"date":"2026-10-26"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-353c-v8x9-v7c3","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-353c-v8x9-v7c3","summary":"MCP-Framework: Unbounded memory allocation in readRequestBody allows denial of service via HTTP transport","modified":"2026-05-05T15:59:44.086328Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"mcp-framework","purl":"pkg:npm/mcp-framework","ranges":["<0.2.22"],"fixed":["0.2.22"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
