{"cve":"CVE-2026-37980","nvd":{"published":"2026-04-14T15:16:34.230","modified":"2026-10-22T21:17:18.210","status":"Modified","description":"A flaw was found in Keycloak, specifically in the organization selection login page. A remote attacker with `manage-realm` or `manage-organizations` administrative privileges can exploit a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. This flaw occurs because the `organization.alias` is placed into an inline JavaScript `onclick` handler, allowing a crafted JavaScript payload to execute in a user's browser when they view the login page. Successful exploitation enables arbitrary JavaScript execution, potentially leading to session theft, unauthorized account actions, or further attacks against users of the affected realm.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":4.8},"cwes":["CWE-79"],"references":["https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2026:19596","https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2026-37980","https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2455325"],"products":["redhat:build_of_keycloak"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-23T16:39:26.291718493+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-37980","score":0.00355,"percentile":0.28962,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-m32f-8vh9-2hh3","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-m32f-8vh9-2hh3","summary":"Keycloak: Arbitrary code execution via Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) in organization selection login page","modified":"2026-10-22T21:45:09.837821301Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Maven","name":"org.keycloak:keycloak-services","purl":"pkg:maven/org.keycloak/keycloak-services","ranges":["<=26.5.5"],"fixed":[]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
