The eshot_form_builder_update_field_data() AJAX handler lacks any capability checks (current_user_can()) or nonce verification (check_ajax_referer()/wp_verify_nonce()). The function is registered via the wp_ajax_ hook, making it accessible to any authenticated user. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to modify form field configurations including mandatory status, field visibility, and form display preferences via the eshot_form_builder_update_field_data AJAX action.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:N","score":5.3},"cwes":["CWE-862"],"references":["https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/e-shot-form-builder/tags/1.0.2/admin/class-eshotformbuilder-admin.php#L656","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/e-shot-form-builder/tags/1.0.2/includes/class-eshotformbuilder.php#L162","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/e-shot-form-builder/trunk/admin/class-eshotformbuilder-admin.php#L656","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/e-shot-form-builder/trunk/includes/class-eshotformbuilder.php#L162","https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/815bd708-b2f8-4add-901b-863fbb3c4d81?source=cve"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:30:49.762551342+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-3642","score":0.00367,"percentile":0.30622,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
