{"cve":"CVE-2026-35469","nvd":{"published":"2026-04-16T22:16:37.920","modified":"2026-10-26T22:10:00.163","status":"Deferred","description":"spdystream is a Go library for multiplexing streams over SPDY connections. In versions 0.5.0 and below, the SPDY/3 frame parser does not validate attacker-controlled counts and lengths before allocating memory. Three allocation paths are affected: the SETTINGS frame entry count, the header count in parseHeaderValueBlock, and individual header field sizes — all read as 32-bit integers and used directly as allocation sizes with no bounds checking. Because SPDY header blocks are zlib-compressed, a small on-the-wire payload can decompress into large attacker-controlled values. A remote peer that can send SPDY frames to a service using spdystream can exhaust process memory and cause an out-of-memory crash with a single crafted control frame. This issue has been fixed in version 0.5.1.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":8.7},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":6.5},"cwes":["CWE-770"],"references":["https://github.com/moby/spdystream/releases/tag/v0.5.1","https://github.com/moby/spdystream/security/advisories/GHSA-pc3f-x583-g7j2","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2026:11070","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2026:11217","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2026:12118"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-26T22:26:44.656832877+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-35469","score":0.00656,"percentile":0.51127,"date":"2026-10-26"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-pc3f-x583-g7j2","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-pc3f-x583-g7j2","summary":"SpdyStream: DOS on CRI","modified":"2026-09-10T03:51:02.523109450Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"github.com/moby/spdystream","purl":"pkg:golang/github.com/moby/spdystream","ranges":["<0.5.1"],"fixed":["0.5.1"]}]},{"id":"GO-2026-4958","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GO-2026-4958","summary":"Uncontrolled resource consumption when parsing SPDY frames in github.com/moby/spdystream","modified":"2026-05-27T14:44:15.790339428Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"github.com/moby/spdystream","purl":"pkg:golang/github.com/moby/spdystream","ranges":["<0.5.1"],"fixed":["0.5.1"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
