Prior to 11.17.0, aggregate functions (min, max) applied to fields with the conceal special type incorrectly return raw database values instead of the masked placeholder. When combined with groupBy, any authenticated user with read access to the affected collection can extract concealed field values, including static API tokens and two-factor authentication secrets from directus_users. This vulnerability is fixed in 11.17.0.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N","score":8.1},"cwes":["CWE-200","CWE-863"],"references":["https://github.com/directus/directus/security/advisories/GHSA-38hg-ww64-rrwc"],"products":["monospace:directus"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:28:59.047572785+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-35442","score":0.00337,"percentile":0.27168,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-38hg-ww64-rrwc","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-38hg-ww64-rrwc","summary":"Directus: Authenticated Users Can Extract Concealed Fields via Aggregate Queries","modified":"2026-04-07T14:37:54.444705Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"directus","purl":"pkg:npm/directus","ranges":["<11.17.0"],"fixed":["11.17.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
