Prior to version 1.5.95, FileTools.download_file() in praisonaiagents validates the destination path but performs no validation on the url parameter, passing it directly to httpx.stream() with follow_redirects=True. An attacker who controls the URL can reach any host accessible from the server including cloud metadata services and internal network services. This issue has been patched in version 1.5.95.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:N/A:N","score":8.6},"cwes":["CWE-918"],"references":["https://github.com/MervinPraison/PraisonAI/security/advisories/GHSA-44c2-3rw4-5gvh"],"products":["praison:praisonaiagents"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:28:59.047572785+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-34954","score":0.00413,"percentile":0.35542,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-44c2-3rw4-5gvh","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-44c2-3rw4-5gvh","summary":"PraisonAI Has SSRF in FileTools.download_file() via Unvalidated URL","modified":"2026-07-13T16:42:32.986666820Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"praisonaiagents","purl":"pkg:pypi/praisonaiagents","ranges":["<1.5.95"],"fixed":["1.5.95"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-2940","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-2940","summary":"PraisonAI Has SSRF in FileTools.download_file() via Unvalidated URL","modified":"2026-07-13T16:33:04.135076242Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"praisonaiagents","purl":"pkg:pypi/praisonaiagents","ranges":["<1.5.95"],"fixed":["1.5.95"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
